The facility
What we are building
A high-performance computing facility is, in plain terms, a building full of computer servers. Businesses rent those servers to run demanding computing work, including artificial intelligence, the technology behind chat assistants, translation, and fraud detection.
It is not a crypto mine. It is not a factory. Nothing is manufactured here and nothing is shipped in and out all day. It runs with a small permanent team on shifts around the clock.
Artificial intelligence does not happen on a screen. It happens in buildings like this one, with power, cooling, pipes, cables, and people.
Our responsibility
Who is accountable
The facility is being built and will be operated by Quake AI, our AI infrastructure business, which now includes Northern Data Group, whose business has owned the land on Industrial Drive since 2021. RUM Group's other business is Rumble, a video platform, but this project is Quake AI's, and our ownership structure is a matter of public record through securities filings.
We hold the permits. We will employ the people working in the building when it is completed. We are responsible for the building 24 hours a day: the water, the power, the noise, and the phone call at two in the morning.
When a customer rents computing capacity from us, that does not change who answers for this building. We do.
